Mihovil Anđelinović, Associate Professor, Faculty of Business and Economics

Mihovil Anđelinović, Ph.D. finished elementary and high school in Split. After graduating from high school, in 2001 he enrolled in Faculty of Business and Economics in Zagreb, Finance course, which he ended in July 2004. In October 2011 he received a Ph.D. degree with the doctoral thesis "The Influence of Economic Cycles on Forming an Investment Portfolio of Insurance Companies". Since January 2006 he has been employed at the Faculty of Business and Economics in Zagreb at the Department of Finance. Since January 2020 he works as Associate Professor . He participates in teaching courses in "Financial Institutions and Markets", "Securities Exchange" and "Monetary Policy", "Insurance and Risks" courses, and at the professional studies, he is involved in teaching the course "Payment Transactions". Mihovil Anđelinović, Ph.D. actively publishes works in international and domestic journals and in collections from international scientific conferences, either independently or as co-author. In addition, he has also been educated in various scientific and professional conferences and workshops. He is the head of the postgraduate specialist study "Insurance and Reinsurance" and has held number of speeches at numerous professional and specialist seminars. He is member or president in several supervisory boards and auditory committees.

Davor Doko, Member of the Management Board of Podravka d.d.

Graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Zagreb University. He started his professional career in 2000 in Asset Management department at Zagrebačka banka as Assistant portfolio manager, where he participated in founding the Investment fund management company ZB Invest. Ulrik Fugmann, Co-CIO Environmental Strategies group

Ulrik is co-head of Environmental Strategies Group and co-lead portfolio manager for the suite of environmental strategies having joined BNPP AM in 2019. Ulrik began his career in 2001 at Goldman Sachs in London investing thematically across energy, materials, agriculture and material companies globally joining the Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies Group (2005 – 2007) and co-ran the Goldman Sachs Thematic Investment Group (2007-2012). Tilmann Galler, Global Market Strategist

Tilmann Galler, , is a Global Market Strategist based in Frankfurt. Damir Grbavac, retired at the end of 2021 from the position of Management Board President of Raiffeisen Mandatory and Voluntary Pension Funds Management Company, Zagreb.

Damir holds bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in business finance, both from Zagreb University. He was licensed pension fund manager and holds Croatian financial adviser’s certificate. Before joining Raiffeisen Pension Funds team, he was Management Board president of Raiffeisen Securities, brokerage and M&A arm of Raiffeisen Group in Croatia and before that Investment Banking Executive Director in Raiffeisenbank Austria, Zagreb. In parallel, during the first 2 years with Raiffeisen Group, he was a Board member of Raiffeisen Investment, at that time corporate finance arm of the Group in Croatia. He started his work carrier in Đuro Đaković Group in Slavonski Brod, Croatia. He held different positions there from credit executive in Group internal bank to deputy general manager of the Holding Company. He was member of the initial Administrative Council of Central Pension Register in Croatia, member of Croatian Agency for Supervision of Financial Services Council, Supervisory Board member of Zagreb Stock Exchange, Croatian Telecom and supervisory board member or president in some other Croatian companies. He was a member of working group of Croatian EU Accession Negotiating Team on financial services chapter. Damir used to be part of Pension Funds Circle, unofficial expert group of pension funds’ managers across Europe, managing some 800 billion EUR in total. Damir is actual supervisory member in Podravka dd and Raiffeisen Invest doo. Damir is married and has 2 children.

Darko Horvat, President of the Management Board at M Plus

Darko Horvat has more than 10 years of work experience in leading auditing and consulting companies, as well as tax consulting companies. He graduated from the University of Zagreb with a master's degree in business administration (MBA) and furthered his professional development at the prestigious Harvard University. Before joining M Plus, he worked as a senior manager at Deloitte Croatia and Deloitte USA, where he oversaw risk assessment, financial planning for clients of exceptional importance, execution planning and software development. Before being appointed to the position of President of the Management Board of M Plus, Horvat held the positions of Management Board of M Plus and a member of the Management Board of the company M Plus Croatia.

Viktor Hottmann, CFA, CFDS Vice President, Investment Advisor, Private Markets Solutions at risklab / AllianzGI

Viktor is a Vice President in risklab’s Private Markets Solutions teams. He has joined risklab in 2019. Viktor covers institutional clients such as pension funds, insurers, banks, corporates, family offices and endowment funds delivering Private Markets solutions. In addition, he provides holistic investment advice including Portfolio Construction and Strategic Asset Allocation studies to institutional clients. Jurica Jednačak, Member of the Board of the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Authority

Jurica Jednačak graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. From 1997 to 2000, he was an associate of the Institute for International Relations, and since 2001 he worked as the Head of the Securities Listing Department at the Zagreb Stock Exchange. From 2003 to 2006, he was Assistant Head of the Corporate Treasury Division, after which he got employed with Zagrebačka banka where he performed the function of the Head of Brokerage Service for Corporate Clients, while in 2007, he became the Head of Brokerage. From 2013 until February 2018, when he was appointed member of the Board of Hanfa, he served as president of the Business Activities and Financial Markets Intermediation Association with the Croatian Chamber of Economy.

Andrej Knez, Chief Markets Analyst, Bloomberg Adria

Andrej holds the position of Chief Markets Analyst at Bloomberg Adria, the first regional business multimedia platform in SEE. He leads an international team of analytical professionals covering economics, financial markets and corporate finance analysis for Adria region, including Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and North Macedonia. Andrej's experience includes various managerial positions in the financial sector, in areas of risk management and analytics. Within risk management, Andrej led the teams which implemented multiple regulatory-required risk measurement processes as part of Basel II and Basel III frameworks as well as CRR and BRRD. His experience also includes mid-term macro and capital markets forecasting. As for formal education, Andrej majored macroeconomics at the University of Zagreb and participated in many internal and external educational courses for topics such as financial sector valuations, liquidity risk management and applied econometrics.

Ph.D. Željko Kukurin graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb where he received his Master of Science degree in Marketing. He also received his EMBA degree in International Management from the Bocconi University in Milan and his Doctor of Economics degree at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Pula on the topic of investments. He started his business career in 2000 in Riviera Poreč, a member of the Valamar group. From 2003 to 2009, he performed managerial tasks in sales and marketing and worked on the development of strategic projects in the group. Afterwards, he moved to the position of Management Board President of Istraturist d.d. and cooperated with Meliá Hotels International in managing the tourism portfolio in Umag. In 2015 Kukurin was appointed President of the Management Board of Valamar Riviera. He led Valamar's strong development and investment cycle of HRK 4 billion until 2019 which included portfolio repositioning, the development of 5 resort brands and a number of service concepts, several business acquisitions, internationalization of operations and strategic partnerships with pension funds. Valamar was named the best employer in tourism for four consecutive years, and Kukurin was named businessman of the year in 2017. In his career, he has managed tourism investment projects worth more than EUR 1 billion. Željko Kukurin holds a position in numerous national professional associations. He is the Deputy Chairman of the Imperial Riviera d.d. Supervisory Board.

Ivan Kurtović, President of the Management Board, InterCapital Asset Management

Ivan is CEO of InterCapital Asset Management, a Croatian based leading independent asset management company. Josip Lasić, Member of the Management Board, CFO at Končar - Electrical Industry Inc.

Josip Lasić is a Member of the Management Board of Končar - Electrical Industry Inc. in charge of finance. He holds a BSc in finance from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. prof. dr. sc. Petar Miladin, Professor at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Law

I was born in Dubrovnik in 1973. I finished my high-school education and obtained a Faculty of Law degree in the University of Zagreb. After finishing law school I have worked as a intern on the Municipal Court and Commercial Court in Zagreb. I have obtained a master of law degree on the Postgraduate Studies in the Commercial and Company Law at the University of Zagreb in 1999 on the topic 'Bank Secrecy and Bank Reference'. The title of my PhD thesis was 'Bank Assignment', also at the University of Zagreb. I obtained a PhD status on the 27th of January 2005. On the 1st of April 2009. I was elected by the University of Zagreb as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law where I am teaching a course in Banking Law at the graduate, post-graduate an doctoral level, which also includes the area of Capital Markets Law. From September 2013. I am full time professor and was vice dean in 2013-14 and 2014-15 academic year. In 2019. I was elected as tenure professor. I was also a member of the Editorial Board of 'Pravo u gospodarstvu – a Journal for Business Law Theory and Practice', the second oldest Croatian legal journal. I am an author of over 30 scientific articles in the field of commercial law, company law and banking law. I am an arbitrator on the list of arbitrators with and without an international element of the Permanent Arbitration Court with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. So far I was an arbitrator in over 30 arbitrations including one arbitration proceedings before the Chamber of Commerce in Vienna. Besides arbitration, I was also a judge of the second instance at the Court of Honour of the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts. In addition, I was also a representative of the Republic of Croatia in the UNCITRAL’s IV Working group on Electronic Commerce as well a representative of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce at the ICC Working Group for Commercial Law.

Ana Pavković, Ph.D., Teaching and Research Assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb

Ana Pavković, Ph.D. works at the Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb and teaches Principles of Economics and Microeconomics. She enrolled in the Faculty in 2011, among the top ten students. She graduated summa cum laude in 2016, earning a master’s degree in Finance. During her studies, she worked as a student assistant in financial courses. She received the Dean's Award for the academic year 2014/2015 for the Best Undergraduate Thesis, the Croatian Bureau of Insurance’s Award for the Best Paper on Insurance in 2015, and the Rector's Award for the academic year 2015/2016 year for the Best Team Scientific Paper titled: “Modeling Financial Literacy of Students at the University of Zagreb: Analysis, Perspectives, and Suggestions for the Future“. She also received the City of Zagreb Scholarship for Academic Excellence. She received her Ph.D. in October 2021, defending the doctoral thesis titled: "General equilibrium model of overlapping generations of the Croatian pension system". Her main research interest is pension economics.

Marin Piletić, Minister of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy

Marin Piletić was born on 12th January 1983, in the city of Novska. After completing elementary and high school in his hometown, he graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb where he obtained his university degree in Croatian language and literature and History. He began his career as a teacher of Croatian language in primary schools in Novska and Lipik. In 2009 Croatian local elections he was elected Deputy Mayor of Novska, a position he held until the year 2013. The following year he was elected Deputy County Prefect for Sisak-Moslavina County and worked in Sisak until 2017, when he ran as candidate and was elected Mayor of Novska, winning the majority of votes in the first round of elections. After being reelected Mayor in 2021 local elections, he became a member of the Croatian Parliament in June 2021. In April 2022 he was appointed Minister of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy. He is married and a father of two children.

Gerhard Schwarz, Head of Equity Strategy at Baader Bank

Gerhard Schwarz is Head of Equity Strategy at Baader Bank since 2011. Prior to that role, he was in charge of the Equity Strategy team at HVB/UniCredit for 13 years. Vesna joined MidEuropa in 2022 as Partner, Head of Investor Relations. She is a member of the Investment Committee and also leads the firm’s ESG and diversity efforts. Before she held positions in the banking industry, in project management and product management-deposits with the focus on the Austria/CEE region. Dubravko Štimac, President of the Management Board of PBZ CROATIA OSIGURANJE JSC for Compulsory Pension Funds Management

Dubravko Štimac graduated from the Faculty of Economy and Business at the Zagreb University, where he also earned his PhD. In 1994, he started working at Privredna banka Zagreb JSC. In 2001, he became the Head of the project of Croatian pension fund reform at Privredna banka Zagreb JSC, and the President of the Management Board of PBZ CROATIA OSIGURANJE JSC for Compulsory Pension Fund Management, the duty he holds today. Ante Žigman, President of the Board of Hanfa

Ante Žigman, PhD, is the President of the Board of Hanfa whose scope of competence includes a wide range of financial non-banking services, from regulation and supervision of the capital market, through insurance to investment and pension funds. He is a member of the Mediation Panel of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) as a representative of the CEET region (Central and Eastern Europe and Transcaucasia). He actively participates in the work of these international bodies. Prior to his appointment as the Head of Hanfa, he held a number of important functions, some of them being: Assistant Minister of Finance for Macroeconomic Analysis and Planning, followed by Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance. He has also served as the vice president of the Committee for Fiscal Policy of the Croatian Parliament, and member of the Economic and Financial Committee's Sub-Committee on EU Sovereign Debt Markets (ESDM).In the banking sector, he was a Board Member of the Partner Bank, as well the Head of Macroeconomic and Financial Research Division and the Chief Economist at the Raiffeisen Bank in Croatia. He has spent a significant part of his career at the Croatian National Bank where he worked in the Office of the Governor until being appointed to the current position.
