Snježana Bahtijari, Director, Marketing, Communications & Corporate Social Responsibility at Ericsson Nikola Tesla

Snježana Bahtijari has been a long-time member of Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s Executive Management and the Director of Marketing, Communications & Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition to being focused on the field of strategic responsibilities, including communication with all stakeholders in the country and abroad, as well as managing occupational health and safety, over time she has been assigned responsibility for important and complex projects at the company that are financed from the EU budget or through a national support network as well as for those that require quality management of both internal and external interdisciplinary teams. She is a member of important company bodies (e.g. Risk and Compliance Board) and has been the chair of the joint-stock company’s Annual General Meeting since 2005. Mrs Bahtijari is also an active member of organizations and bodies, such as the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development (HR PSOR) and the Croatian Chamber of Economy’s CSR Affiliation and International Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, she has carried out most essential functions in these organizations. For her work, Mrs Bahtijari has received significant awards like the Croatian Public Relations Association Grand PRix for professional contribution, regional award for strategic communication PRO.PR Award for a high level of expertise and activities in strategic communication and public relations, as well as the Croatian Academy of Engineering award for the contribution to marking the year of Nikola Tesla. The projects she carried out with her team have been recognized by both national and international circles as especially innovative and have received awards from a community of experts and professionals in the field. As a result of her extensive experience in the field of corporate social responsibility, especially when it comes to strategic development and integrated reporting, over the two decades she has become one of the most prominent Croatian practitioners in the field. As a successful mentor, she contributed to the development of potential in many women, coming both from Croatia and abroad, practicing different professions and having different interests.

Darko Brborovic, Advisor, OTP Banka d.d.

Graduated Mathematics at University of Zagreb in 1995. After working as teaching assistant at Faculty of natural sciences he went to the Treasury of Zagrebačka banka in 1998. From 2002 until 2005 he was a portfolio manager at Allianz ZB (AZ fond). Since 2005 he was CEO of OTP Invest, an asset management company. OTP Invest manages several multi asset funds with domestic and international exposures.

Stjepan Čuraj, State Secretary, Ministry of Finance

Graduated at Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Law in Osijek, Stjepan Curaj also got degrees in Public relations (LSPR) and in Public procurement (EFOS) as well as Certificate (MINGO). In the last mandate he was a member of Parliament (MP), and before that was three times elected as a member (and in one term vice-president) of the Osijek-Baranja County assembly. He was a member of Osijek City Council where he held the position of the President of Financial end Economy Committee. He was also Head of Finances, Deputy CEO and subsequently CEO of the company Športski objekti Ltd. Also he was president (2) and deputy president of Supervisory Board of several companies (Jsc’s) and a private entrepreneur (owner and founder). In the beginnings of his career Stjepan worked first as project assistant then manager in NGO sector. In his current position of a State Secretary, he is in charge of financial sector, concessions, public debt, revisers, state aids departments or sectors. Stjepan is also a former basketball player and a basketball coach.

Mr. Gunter Deuber, Managing Director, Global Head of Research, Raiffeisen Research, RBI International AG, Vienna

Managing Director and Chief Economist of Raiffeisen Bank International AG in Vienna, one of the largest foreign banks and investors Central and Southeastern Europe. Gunter is regularly presenting research views to clients/investors, actively supporting internal strategy projects and supports the senior management in discussions with regulators, rating agencies, policymakers and International Financial Institutions. In connection with these activities, Gunter was nominated in 2019 for the IVLP program (International Visitor Leadership Program) of the State Department of the USA and had the opportunity to personally meet policymakers and regulators in the US. Prior to his current engagement he worked as Senior Economist for CEE at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and started his professional career at Raiffeisen Zentralbank (RZB) in Vienna. Out of the office Gunter enjoys travelling (with his wife, 12-years old son and 7-year old daughter), skiing and long-distance running. He has a master’s Degree in Philosophy & Economics and a Bachelor in Economics.

Lidija Gamulin - Head of Partnerships - UNICEF

Lidija Gamulin has been Head of Partnerships at UNICEF Office for Croatia since 2015, a role that combines promoting UNICEF programmatic goals among Croatian business sector and its engagement in children’s rights with public resource mobilization for the benefit of UNICEF´s programmes. Besides this, Lidija is also responsible for establishing cooperation between different countries and UNICEF offices. Prior to joining UNICEF, since 2002 Lidija has obtained a number of roles in the leading companies of the Croatian financial and investment sector. Andrija Hren, CFA is the Chief Investment Officer at Erste Mandatory and Voluntary Pension Fund Management Company currently managing around EUR 2,5 bn in pension assets. He has been with the company since 2009 when he joined as an analyst. After heading the Financial market analysis department for six years he transitioned to his current role in 2019. Having spent over fifteen years in the investment industry he as experience in equity, credit and macro analysis, as well as strategic asset allocation. Prior to joining Erste d.o.o. he worked at Hypo Alpe Adria Bank in the Financial markets department as a broker and at Hypo Alpe Adria Invest as an investment adviser. Hrvoje Krstulović, CEO of ZB Invest

Hrvoje Krstulović has been CEO of ZB Invest, the largest asset management company in Croatia, since 2012. He is also Chairman of Investment funds Association at Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Board member at European Fund and Asset Management Association. He has been member of several working groups for implementation of EU regulations. Prior to current role, Hrvoje was working for number of financial institutions from Central Depository Agency, pension fund, bank treasury and investment company. Matti Leppälä, Secretary General/CEO, PensionsEurope

Matti is a member and was the chair and vice-Chair in 2013-2018 of the Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group of EU supervisory authority EIOPA, a member of the European Commission’s High Level Group of Experts on Pensions 2018 – 2019 and the chair of the World Pension Alliance 2018 – 2019. Đivo Pulitika, Head of Research, InterCapital Asset Management

Đivo heads the equity research department at InterCapital Asset Management, the largest independent asset management company in Croatia. The department analyses and gives investment advice to ICAM’s fund managers for global and local equity issues. As of 2019, Đivo has also been in charge of managing ICAM’s approach to responsible investment, mainly through developing an in-house model for ESG scoring and tracking CO2 emissions. His future endeavours will include making sure that ICAM’s funds meet the prerequisites for Article 8 funds under the SFDR regulation, as well as incorporating best global sustainability practices. Prior to ICAM, Đivo was the head of research at InterCapital Securities, providing sell-side analyses of companies in the SEE region.

Anita Rana, CAIA - EMEA Portfolio Analysis & Solutions team (BPAS).

Anita Rana, CAIA, is a member of BlackRock's EMEA Portfolio Analysis & Solutions team (BPAS). The team conducts customised, outcome-orientated client engagements around portfolio construction and risk management to assist with asset allocation, portfolio structure, and implementation decisions. This is executed across multiple asset classes and structures, and Anita specialises in Alternative investments.

Tomislav Ridzak, Board of Hanfa

Tomislav Ridzak, started his professional career as a junior researcher at the Institute of Economics in Zagreb. From 2003 he worked for companies Interkapital vrijednosni papiri and ICAM as the head of asset management, portfolio manager and securities trader. In 2009, he started working at the Croatian National Bank, first as an adviser, and from 2012 to 2018 as the Head of Financial Stability Department. In February 2018, he was appointed member of the Board of Hanfa. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, he got a master's degree in economics and finance from the University of York, United Kingdom, and a doctoral degree from the Juraj Dobrila University. He has written numerous scientific papers published in Croatia and abroad.

Gerhard Schwarz, Head of Equity Strategy at Baader Bank

Gerhard Schwarz is Head of Equity Strategy at Baader Bank since 2011. Prior to that role, he was in charge of the Equity Strategy team at HVB/UniCredit for 13 years. His focus is on top-down drivers for European equity markets, valuation & market timing / style rotation models, cross asset class interconnections and Alpha strategies. As a key responsibility, he is in charge of selecting the Top Stock Picks from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Covering the regional core focus of the Baader Helvea Equity Research team, this product managed to deliver a very strong and consistent track record over the last 8 years. Gerhard already had specialized on financial markets, portfolio theory and quant techniques when graduating in business administration at Augsburg University in 1994. He passed the CEFA exam in 1995. His total experience in sell-side financial markets research amounts to more than 25 years.

Pavlina Solcova Vice President Business Development Austria & CEE Allianz Global Investors

Pavlina is responsible for business development of Austria and Central Eastern Europe at Allianz Global Investors, covering wholesales and institutional clients. She joined Allianz SE group in 2015. Before she held positions in the banking industry, in project management and product management-deposits with the focus on the Austria/CEE region. Prior to this engagement she worked at the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Czech Republic, where she was responsible for international financial institutions, cooperating closely with the European Investment Bank, European Commission, World Bank and United Nations. She was also an analyst at Financial and Private Sector Payments and Remittances Group at the World Bank / IFC in the US. Pavlina has worked for Czech/international financial institutions and overall in the financial industry for 14 years. She reached a Master in Business and Economics and was also a PhD candidate in Economics. Additionally, she holds several certificates in project management, negotiation, public procurement, media & press and financial policy of international financial institutions. She was part of mentoring programs of Czech German Young Professional (2014) and International Women Forum leadership platform in Austria (2018). As of 2018 she is the member of “Fondsfrauen Oesterreich” group.

Velimir Šonje, Arhivanalitika, Director

Velimir Šonje served as Executive Director for the Research and Statistics Area in the Croatian National Bank (1995-2000), Board Member of Raiffeisenbank Austria d.d. Zagreb (2000-2003), and Chairman of supervisory boards of Raiffeisen Pension Fund Management Company and Raiffeisen Investment Fund Management Company (2002 and 2003). He was also a partner and CEO of ICF Invest – an investment fund management company in Croatia (2007-2008). During his consulting career as owner and director of consulting company Arhivanalitika (since 2003), Mr Šonje has written and advised extensively in the fields of macroeconomic and financial research, financial development, and financial regulation. In particular, he led the project of developing securitisation regulation in Croatia, advised pension fund management companies on continuation of pension reforms and private sector clients on asset management strategies. He occasionally works as a short-term consultant to the IMF and World Bank in the area of finance. He was involved in policy and regulatory design, writing and presenting strategic policy documents, such as national development plans, as well as plans for reform in the fields of finance, better regulation and professional services. He worked on projects in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia and the UK.

Gordan Šumanović, Member of the Management Board, Raiffeisen Mandatory and Voluntary Pension Funds Management Company

Gordan Šumanović, CFA is a Board Member of Raiffeisen Mandatory and Voluntary Pension Funds Management Company. He holds a role of a Chief Investment Officer in a company managing eight pension funds with total assets in excess of EUR 5 bn. He has 17 years of experience in asset management in Croatia. Gordan holds a degree of Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance, from a Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.

Boris Vujčić, Croatian Central Bank Governor

Boris Vujčić, was born in Zagreb on 2 June 1964. He graduated in 1988 and received his doctor's degree in 1996, both from the Zagreb Faculty of Economics. He worked as assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb from 1989 to 1997, when he was appointed assistant professor. As a Fulbright fellow he attended doctoral study at the Department of Economics, Michigan State University, USA, in the period between 1994 and 1995. In 1995/1996 he worked in the European Commission in Brussels, first as a trainee, and then as an external advisor in the Monetary Matters Department. From December 1996 till his appointment as Deputy Governor of the CNB he worked as Director of the CNB Research Department. Boris Vujčić was appointed Deputy Governor of the Croatian National Bank on 15 July 2000 pursuant to the decision of the Croatian Parliament. On 13 July 2006, the Croatian Parliament reappointed Deputy Governor Vujčić for a second six-year term of office. From 2005, Mr Vujčić was also Deputy Chief Negotiator in Republic of Croatia's negotiations with the European Union, and from September 2016 to September 2019, he was a member of the European Systemic Risk Board's Steering Committee. Since October 2016, Mr Vujčić has been appointed chairman of the Vienna Initiative 2.0 Steering Committee. Hans-Jürgen Weidenbacher, Managing Director, Global Head of Product Specialists Alternatives

Mr. Weidenbacher is a managing director and global head of product specialists Alternatives with Allianz Global Investors, which he joined in 2008. He is focusing on the positioning of our growing Alternatives capabilities within AllianzGI and our clients globally as well as expanding our client offering. Since 2013, he has been instrumental in the build out of our Alternatives platform and significantly growing our asset base. Prior to that, Mr. Weidenbacher managed a number of significant projects in the formation of the new Allianz Global Investors investment platform, as part of the Global CIO office. Mr. Weidenbacher originally worked as a Senior Consultant in Group Planning & Controlling, responsible for the Asset Management segment of Allianz SE since 2002. Previously he worked several years at Lehman Brothers and Hypovereinsbank as an M&A advisor in Munich, Frankfurt, London and New York. Mr. Weidenbacher has over 23 years of investment industry experience. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Applied Science in Munich and an MBA from Thunderbird (USA).

Matthias Zeinitzer is a member of the iShares & Wealth EEGA Team based in Vienna. His focus is the development of the client base in Central Eastern Europe including Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. Ante Žigman, President of the Board of Hanfa

Ante Žigman, PhD, is the President of the Board of Hanfa whose scope of competence includes a wide range of financial non-banking services, from regulation and supervision of the capital market, through insurance to investment and pension funds. He is a member of the Mediation Panel of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) as a representative of the CEET region (Central and Eastern Europe and Transcaucasia). He actively participates in the work of these international bodies. Prior to his appointment as the Head of Hanfa, he held a number of important functions, some of them being: Assistant Minister of Finance for Macroeconomic Analysis and Planning, followed by Secretary of State at the Ministry of Finance. He has also served as the vice president of the Committee for Fiscal Policy of the Croatian Parliament, and member of the Economic and Financial Committee's Sub-Committee on EU Sovereign Debt Markets (ESDM).In the banking sector, he was a Board Member of the Partner Bank, as well the Head of Macroeconomic and Financial Research Division and the Chief Economist at the Raiffeisen Bank in Croatia. He has spent a significant part of his career at the Croatian National Bank where he worked in the Office of the Governor until being appointed to the current position. He has written numerous scientific and expert papers in the field of fiscal policy and finance and is an active lecturer in the area of economics and finance.
